Blogging Texas

The Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty now has a blog. You can see it here. Texas joins Alabama, Kansas, Missouri and Tennessee as states that are now blogging against the death penalty! Here's a big shout out to NCADP Board member and Texas activist TJ Geiger who launched it.

As you talk to other activist bloggers, please encourage them to take advantage of the RSS feeds
(syndication) made possible by so many of the programs and sites that are used for blogging. An RSS feed allows readers (like me) to subscribe to a blog and see updates when they happen. Using a service like Bloglines the readers can receive updates to all of their blogs in one place. If you want to be sure to drive the traffic to the actual blog (i.e. if you're tracking visitors or using adsense or other revenue generating services) you can use the short feed and only syndicate the first paragraph. Syndicating the blog will also make it easy to include Blog content on the organization's main website.
